George Procopiou’s Dynacom has been hard at work putting its strong tanker earnings to good use， with both dry bulk and tanker newbuilds contracted in China.

According to shipbroker Allied， Dynacom has signed for a pair of very large crude carriers (VLCs) at New Times Shipbuilding and eight 85，000 dwt bulkers at CSSC-affiliated Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding.

The VLCCs are costing about $115m per ship， with deliveries expected in 2026， while the bulkers will deliver between 2025 and 2027 at a price of around $37m each.

Including their 10 firm and four optional LR2 order back in April， this makes for over $1.1bn of investment in the year so far， Allied Shipbroking noted in its latest report.
