CCS Guangzhou Longxue Shipbuilding Co., Ltd has signed a newbuilding contract for the construction of two 115,000dwt tankers with Hong Kong Valles Steamship Co., Ltd. The newbuildings are to be delivered by the forth quarter of 2015. Contract value is disclosed at about $47.0-48.0 apiece.

It is revealed that this is the first time Valles Steamship ordered LR2 tankers while operating 10 Aframax tanker to haul crude oil. The change of crude oil transportation is said to be the underlying reason for Valles’ new order.

Valles Group has ordered a series of 50,000dwt product tanker at CSS Guangzhou Shipbuilding Industry.
