S&P activity is picking up this month with brokers reporting a string of deals.

Laurent Cadji-led outfit Union Maritime has sold the five-year-old， 50，000 dwt， Hyundai Mipo-built tanker， Avon， to an undisclosed account for $45.5m.

Last week， the UK bulker and tanker player made the headlines for shaking hands with Hong Kong-listed Seacon Shipping， putting out a release that it had added the two-year-old 34，827 dwt， Fujian Mawei-built Golden Lavender for $36m.

This active owner is also busy ordering ships. At the end of March， it increased its tanker orderbook， signing up for four more 18，500 dwt chemical tankers and a pair of 49，000 dwt MR2 vessels at Wuhu Shipyard worth about $210m in total.
