Norway-based shipping company DSD Shipping AS is to expand its fleet with new medium range 2 (MR2) tankers.
Namely, the company has ordered two 50,000 dwt vessels at Vietnam-based Hyundai Vinashin shipyard, in addition to two optional vessels of the same size.
DSD Shipping will pay USD 32 million for each ship, Intermodal Shipbrokers’ data shows.
Scheduled for delivery in 2019 and 2020, the newbuildings will have a length of 183 meters and a width of 32.2 meters.
Apart from the newly ordered vessels, DSD Shipping’s fleet currently comprises four Aframaxes, one MR and two intermediate tankers.
