Three dry bulk carriers that formed part of RBD Armatori's fleet have been sold in Italy to Chinese interests by a Naples court through a competitive sale procedure.
The 1999-built Giovanni Battista Bottiglieri fetched US$4.4m while sister ship Grazia Bottiglieri obtained US$5.1m. Both of the panamax vessels were acquired by Tianjin Dongjiang Shipping of Cina.
The third vessel put up for sale was the 2001-built Orsolina Bottiglieri, another panamax bulk carrier, which fetched some US$6.5m and had been bought by a different Chinese investor linked to Singapore-based Ausbulk.
