Italian shipping company D'Amico Dry has started its strategy of dismissing aged dry bulk tonnage while taking delivery of newbuildings.
Several shipbrokers are reporting that the 1999-built Medi Tokyo is being sold to Chinese buyers for US$3.5m.
The same company a few weeks ago was linked to the sale of the 13-years old Medi Nagasaki due to be bought by Greek interests.
