CSSC-affiliated Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding has announced it has secured newbuild contracts for a 17,000dwt asphalt carrier and a 38,800dwt bulk carrier.
The asphalt carrier, ordered by Tianjin Southwest Marine, is slated for delivery in 2017.
The bulk carrier was ordered by CSSC Shipping (Hong Kong), the shipowning division of CSSC. Delivery is scheduled at the end of 2017.
Huangpu Wenchong is one of CSSC’s major shipyards with a diversified portfolio and delivered a record 49 vessels in 2015.
