China-based shipyard Fujian Southeast Shipbuilding Co. Ltd. has recently held a keel-laying ceremony for Vroon's VOS Start, the company said.
VOS Start is a subsea-support walk-to-work (W2W) vessel and it is capable of carrying a total of 87 persons, offering accommodation and work space for up to 60 client staff.
This new vessel generation is based on a Khiam Chuan Marine (KCM) design.
VOS Start is scheduled for delivery to Vroon next year and will be followed by a sister vessel, VOS Stone.
