Chinese shipbuilder COSCO Zhoushan Shipyard Co., Ltd has delivered a 64,000dwt bulk carrier, named Kambos, to its European owner Lomar Shipping.
The bulker measures 199.90m in LOA, 32.26m in breadth and 18.5m in depth.
Kambos is a sister vessel to bulker Queen Cuki delivered by COSCO this May.
In February 2012, Lomar inked an order with COSCO for up to six 'Ultramax' bulk carriers of the 'Dolphin' design, introduced by Chinese design institute SDARI (Shanghai Merchant Ship Design and Research Institute).
The Ultramax bulk carriers have been designed to carry up to 11% more cargo than conventional Supramaxes whilst consuming around 13% less fuel.
Lomar Shipping has one more 64,000dwt bulker set for delivery in 2015 and three more for 2017.
