Xiamen Shipbuilding Industry (XSI) has announced that it has received orders for construction of two 2,100ceu pure car truck carriers (PCTCs) from repeat customer Shanghai Zhongpu Shipping.
Zhongpu Shipping already has one 2,100ceu PCTC under construction at the yard, with the three vessels expected to be put into operation between the end of 2016 and early 2017.
Zhongpu Shipping is a subsidiary of CDC International Logistics, a joint venture between automaker Chery and Dalian Port Group.
