Chinese shipyard AVIC Weihai Shipyard Co., Ltd. (AVIC) received an order from Germany-based ship owner Mineralien Schiffahrt Spedition und Transport (MST) for construction of two 3,8000dwt bulkers, according to a domestic shipping news report.
Each of the bulk carriers is priced at approximately US$22m, and they are set to be delivered in 2016 and 2017 respectively, the report added.
MST, established in 1985, currently owns eight Handymaxes and two Panamaxes.
