China-based shipyard Qingdao Wuchuan Heavy Industry Co., Ltd. received an order of two 5,500dwt multipurpose offshore construction and ROV support vessels from Greek shipowner Toisa Limited, according to a domestic shipping news portal.
Each of the new vessels is priced at approximately US$60m. They are scheduled to be delivered in mid-2017.
The two new vessels will be equipped with DP2 respectively. Each of them measures 97.1m in length overall, 22m in width, and 9.2m in depth.
The order displays Toisa's determination to expand its fleet. The Greek shipowner owns 28 offshore support vessels (OSV) at present.
