South Korea-based shipbuilder Hyundai Mipo Dockyard received an order for construction of two pure car/truck carriers (PCTC).
The order has been placed by an undisclosed European shipowner, the shipyard said in a filing to Korea Stock Exchange.
The value of the deal is KRW172.6bn (US$155.9m).
The ships are slated for delivery in the second quarter of 2017, according to the filing, Further details on the characteristics of the ships have not been disclosed.
This is the first car carrier order placed at the yard in 2015.
