China Cosco Holding announced it disposed of 17 vessels during the last four months of 2014, made up of thirteen bulk carriers and four container vessels.

The 17 vessels, with the aggregate capacity of 919,853dwt, were disposed to different purchasers, at a total consideration of approximately RMB318.2m.

At the end of last September, the company received a ship scrapping subsidy of RMB1.38bn from the central government.

The decommissioning of the vessels is expected to enhance the overall operational competitiveness of the company.
