Singapore-based Cosco Group has through its subsidiary Cosco (Guangdong) Shipyard Co., Ltd., secured a contract to build one 4,500 square meter livestock carrier for an unnamed European client.
The contract is valued at approximately $30 million. The vessel is scheduled for delivery in the second quarter of 2016.
Additionally, the shipowner has an option to contract Cosco to construct a vessel of similar characteristics within six months.
