A progress report on the New Port project in Doha suggests that things are on trackfor a smooth first phase launch in 2016 as planned.
The QR27bn port will have a 2m TEU initial first phase capacity when it launches in2016.
By 2020, the whole 26 sq km project should be complete giving the port a 6m TEU capacity, a significant addition to what is already looking like a crowded Middle Eastbox scene.
