Fujian MaWei Shipbuilding Ltd has secured a newbuilding contract with for the construction of a accommodation vessel from Singapore shipownr EOC at the price of $32.5m. The vessel is with an accommodation capacity of 70 passengers and is to be classed by ABS.

According to EOC, the new contract is part of its plant to expand its accommodation fleet. The company is dedicated to enhance offshore accommodation and support services, especially in Asia-Pacific region.

In the last few months, EOC has fixed chartering contracts for two accommodation barges “Lewek Conqueror” and  “Lewek Chancellor” at a cost of $170.0m.
