Polish shipping company PZM has awarded a contract for four 38,500dwt bulkers to Yangfan Group, with delivery scheduled in the first half of 2017.

PZM had previously ordered eight 38,500dwt bulkers at Yangfan Group at the end of 2013.

“The ships are classic bulk carriers designed to transport cereals, fertilisers or coal,” PZM said.

The contracts for the new ships are part of the company’s investment programme for the years 2016 to 2020. In addition to the twelve bulk carriers, further orders are underway, PZM said in an announcement.
