China’s Taizhou Sanfu Ship Engineering is said to have entered a newbuilding agreement for five 64,000 dwt bulkers with compatriot Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping (Group).
The newbuildings are slated for delivery between 2015 and late 2016 and newbuilding price is not disclosed but the current market level comes at around $25m.
The 64,000 dwt bulker is the vessel scale designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI), having 199.9m of length and 32.26m of breadth with 18.5m of height. Classed by China Classification Society, it has 11.3m of design draft.
Meanwhile, Fujian Guohang Ocean Shipping (Group) is an operator securing a fleet of around 40 Handysize or Panamax bulkers with operating capacity of 2m dwt in total.
