Korean creative economy is expected to expand to Europe, working hand in hand with France, home of culture and art.

The Federation of Korean Industries (FKI) announced that the institution held the 11th Korea-France High Level Businessmen's Club at the Mouvement des entreprises de France (MEDEF) on November 4 and sought ways to cooperate with each country, focusing on cooperation in the third country through creative economy and Smart City.

Around 250 people in total attended the meeting, such as some 120 members of Korean economic mission including Chairman Huh Chang-Soo of FKI, Chairman Cho Yang-Ho of Korea-French High Level Businessmen's Club, MEDEF Chairman Pierre Gattaz, Louis Gallois, a member of the Board of Directors of Ecole Centrale Paris and President of the Fondation Villette-Entreprises and other 130 people.

Korea’s Cho Yang-Ho stressed that the two countries, leading Europe and Asia, each, are able to cooperate in creative economy, saying “France, which is strong in cultural content and basic science, and Korea, securing the world’s best ICT technology, will be showing a new business opportunity in this field.”

Subject speaker Lee Seung-Cheol, vice chairman of FKI, suggested such items as ▲ construction of barge mounted power plant (BMPP) on the water, integrating France’s excellent basic science and technology with Korea’s manufacturing ability, ▲ cooperation in Future automobile industry as a cooperative model in complementary fields, ▲ joint advancements to U-health market and cultural content in the third country and so on, to business community of France.

BMPP is a power generating facility installed on a barge that it is easy to move across sea or river. The facility is able to supply electric power to island areas where power supply is hard to get or where power is urgently needed.

After completed at a yard where production and construction management are relatively easy, the plant manufacturing will be moved to power plant site through marine transportation and go through installation and field trial.
