Guangzhou Shipbuilding International (GSI) has inked a contract for two 25,000 dwt bulk carriers with domestic company Henghou Group. The shipyard believes that the order could further strengthen its position at global shipbuilding market and promote the continued production of this type of ship.
Since 2009, Henghou Group has actively expanded into overseas markets, and entered into iron ore trading and international shipping. The company built two 18,000 dwt bulk carriers in 2010, which were put into operation in 2012.
