China State Shipbuilding Corporation (CSSC)-affiliated Chengxi Shipyard keeps winning bulkers based on its ‘Dolphin 64’ design.
The Chinese shipbuilder signed a contract for construction of two 64,000 dwt bulkers with Dalnave Navigation.
The two 64,000 dwt newbuilds are slated for delivery in February and April, 2016, respectively.
The ‘Dolphin 64’ bulker is the vessel type developed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design & Research Institute (SDARI), boasting fuel efficiency with an eco-friendly feature.
Chengxi had won around 20 similar vessels before and many other options are known to be waiting to be exercised.
