Shanghai Waigaoqiao Shipbuilding has signed a shipbuilding contract for four 186,000 dwt capsize bulker carriers with Taiwanese shipping company U-Ming.
The price for each vessel is $46.8m, and the deliveries will start from 2015.
Currently U-Ming has six bulkers under construction at Waigaoqiao, two 206,000 dwt bulkers will be delivered in October this year and January 2014, and another four 186,000 dwt bulkers will be delivered from the second half of 2014.
Recently Waigaoqiao has also received orders for two 180,000dwt bulkers from Star Bulk Carrier. The vessels will be delivered in the fourth quarter of 2015 and the first quarter of 2016.
