Yangzhou Dayang Shipbuilding, an affiliate of China’s privately-owned Sinopacific Shipbuilding Group secured an order to build 82,000 dwt kamsarmax bulker developed jointly with Japan’s Mitsubishi Heavy Industries which offered technology.
According to market players, Yangzhou Dayang inked an order for a firm plus one option of 82,000 dwt bulker from a Greek owner.
The newbuilding is known as fuel saving type which is capable of limiting daily fuel consumption under 28 tons.
Meanwhile, year to date, Sinopacific is gaining orders for its in-house developed 63,500 dwt bulker, "Crown 63".
