Finnish shipowners plan to book orders for more than 10 newbuilding eco-friendly vessels by 2015, backed by financial support from Finnvera.
In order to comply with global emissions regulations, the Finnish state financing group will provide funding for eco-design newbuildings as well as upgrades of local shipowners' existing fleet.
Meanwhile, shipowner Langh Ship is planning to install sulphur scrubbers on all of its five vessels, sources said.
