Hyundai Heavy Industries of Korea has signed a contract to build up to two mono-hull offshore accommodation vessels with Edda Accommodation in Norway.
The order includes an option for additional one more unit.
The accommodation newbuilding, 155 meters in length and capable of housing 800 people, will be delivered in June 2015.
The unit will provide construction support and living quarters for support personnel during the commissioning, maintenance and decommissioning of offshore installations.
Meanwhile, it has not been revealed how much the newbuilding costs, while sources it might cost in the range of $200-$250 apiece.
