On May.23rd - 25th, 2012 CIMPS (China International Marine, Port & Shipbuilding Fair) will be held in Nanjing, the provincial city of Jiangsu Province. According to the organizing committee of the fair, the minister of Ministry of State-owned Enterprises of Indonesia will lead a delegation of over forty Indonesian ship-owners       
to attend the grand meeting of shipbuilding industry in China.
About two thirds of In Indonesia’s territory is sea area which entails enormous maritime facilities, equipments and transport vehicles to exploit her natural resources. Hence, Indonesian shipbuilding industry is the focused industry of future with huge market potentials. In addition to routine visits, the delegation of will also attend the 3rd Trade Fair of Ship & Oceanic Engineering Industry and carry out an on-the-spot investigation of local leading enterprises of shipbuilding industry like New Century Shipbuilding, New Yangzi Shipbuilding and other shipyards.
“The current Indonesian shipbuilding industry is experiencing a sound development but still needs more supports from allied industry. The fair is just such a well-established and excellent international platform. And our attendance, visits and study will bring about a positive enhancement of competitive strength of our nation’s shipbuilding industry.” Indonesian representatives express their optimism of the forthcoming visits.
Statistics show that the exhibiters of 2011 CIMPS were from over twenty countries and regions worldwide, of which overseas exhibitors occupy over 13% of the total. Singapore, U.K., S.Korea, Finland and Denmark attended the fair in the form of “Exhibition Group of the Nation” while Italy, Germany and Netherlands’ attendance further illustrated the high internationalization of the fair.
Ever since its inception, the organizers of CIMPS have been dedicated to establishing a highly-internationalized platform for the communication and exchange for ship industry home and abroad. Based on the success of previous two sessions, this year’s fair will make another leap in its internationalization.
As one of the outstanding exhibition organizers, Jiangsu Lianya International Exhibition joins hands with Ahoy Exhibition Firm of Netherlands, a same excellent company, in the organization of 2012 CIMPS.
