Marseille-based Marfret has concluded a resale deal for a 1,900 teu newbuilding being built by China’s Guangzhou Wenchong Shipyard (GWS).
The vessel is part of a four ship series originally ordered in 2023 by the German owner Reederei Nord.
According to Alphaliner, Marfret is paying $30m for the ship, which will deliver in March next year and be called Durande.
Marfret currently owns four containerships, ranging in size from 326 to 2,506 teu.
