CMA CGM has expanded its fleet with its second LNG dual-fuel RO-RO vessel. The company recently took the delivery of CMA CGM MONACO, a 7000 CEU RO-RO vessel from Jinling Shipyard Jiangsu, China. The car carrier has embarked on its first journey and has set sail from Yantai to Europe. CMA CGM MONACO is expected to arrive at TILBURY, UK, by mid-March, marking a significant advancement in automotive transport between Europe and Asia.
200m long and 38m wide, CMA CGM MONACO is equipped with LNG and battery hybrid technology to power the vessel. It is setting a new emission reduction standard and offering a greener solution to the global EV supply chain. Considering the growing Chinese Automobile export, this twelve-deck car carrier is expected to play a pivotal role in improving the efficiency of trade exchange between China and Europe.
CMA CGM INDIANAPOLIS was the first in the series of four RoRo ships ordered by the French shipping giant. Other RoRo vessels yet to arrive in this series are CMA CGM Monza and CMA CGM Silverstone.
