Taiwanese shipowner and operator Wisdom Marine is adding more Japanese handysize bulkers to its orderbook.

In a regulatory filing, the Taipei-based company said it would pay $96m for a trio of 40,000 DWT units to be built at Saiki Heavy Industries of the Onomichi Dockyard.

The country’s largest dry bulk shipowner has over 130 vessels and 12 on order, excluding the latest trio, according to VesselsValue data.

Wisdom recently ordered a pair of 40,000 DWT bulkers at Namura Shipbuilding, for $66m and delivery in 2026 and another two at Nihon Shipyard, a joint venture between Imabari Shipbuilding and Japan Marine United.
