“RUN NENG 168”, a cable-laying vessel, designed by Nanjing Puning Ship Design Co., Ltd and renovated by CIMC Raffles Offshore Limited, which was delivered at Yantai CIMC Raffles Shipyard on October 25.
It is the first 15000 GT cable laying vessel in China with DP2 for worldwide cable-laying activities. And it has a length of 114.3 meters, a depth of 6.1 meters, a loading capacity of 10000t, and a loaded displacement of 14,820t. This cable-laying vessel features an automatic control system to ensure the accurate laying of submarine cables(220KV), fuel consumption, and greenhouse gas emissions reduction for offshore construction endurance.
“RUN NENG 168” is the second cable-laying vessel invested by Jiangsu Gerun Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. The smooth delivery of this vessel ushers in a new era in terms of marine equipment and also a new initiative for CIMC Raffles in the conversion of offshore vessels.
