On 26 February, Nantong Xiangyu Shipbuilding and Offshore Engineering Co., Ltd. held a keel-laying ceremony for a 63500DWT bulk carrier.

This newly-built vessel is the second bulker in a series of bulk carriers for the Turkish shipowner and is designed by Shanghai Merchant Ship Design &Research Institute (SDARI). It is a new generation of Ultramax bulk carriers based on dolphin design with a single propeller, the main engine, double-bottom single-hull construction. Besides, it is 199.9m in length, 32.26m in width and 18.9m in depth with a scantling draft of 13.5m at a design speed of 13.5 knots classified into LR society.
