Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding launched its first train ferry

On January 23, the first rail ferry built by CSSC Huangpu Wenchong Shipbuilding Company Limited was launched from the slipway of the Longxue factory area.


This made-in-China train ferry ushered into the RoRo market globally. Hailed as a train aircraft carrier, it is 180m in length overall, 36.6m in width and 10m in depth. And it is designed to operate in specific routes between ports of America and Mexico Besides, the vessel allows rail cars to be loaded on upper deck and main deck and it is capable of loading and unloading 136 carriages by changing track in the ship within two hours due to relatively high double decks.
