On December 22, “Zhao Yuan”, the first 5000 cum Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) carrier, built by CSSC Guangxi Shipyard and Offshore Engineering CO., LTD, completed sea trials under new regulations.

It is a fully pressurized LPG carrier with a straight bow, a transom stern, single engine, single propeller and a rudder, all of which are designed in accordance with the new regulation of CCS. Besides, it is 99.9m in length overall, 16.6m in width and 8m in depth with a design draft of 5.8m and the speed can reach 13.5 knots at the loaded draft.
